This is a children's workshop to learn how to solve Rubik's Cube. Cubes will be given to each child attending, so you don't need to bring your own to participate. The workshop will teach you a beginners method to solve the 3x3x3 cube. You will also be given some demonstrations of intermediate and advanced algorithms to solve the layers faster.
James Blythe is 8 years old and has been able to solve a cube for about 2 years. James can solve the cube in an average time of 30 seconds with his best time being about 12 seconds. He has competed in three WCA (World Cubing Association) competitions, competing in 3x3x3, 2x2x2 and Pyraminx. James will also bring some of his collection to show you, and demonstrate some solves.
We have limited the attendees for this event to 10 participants to ensure everyone get the assistance they need to be able to solve the cube!! If we have a lot of interest then we can run another workshop in the future.
