Gifted children can mix with like minds as they are encouraged to explore their potential.
Students are recognised as gifted when they can operate at levels of learning well above that which is normal for their age peers. Gifted education programs are designed to provide opportunities to engage with tasks achievable by students two years in advance of a gifted child's chronological age.
This exciting program of workshops is specifically designed for gifted children in Queensland. Participants are expected to follow instructions and try their best in the tasks. For example: Children in year 3 register for workshops available to year 3, such as P-3 or 3-4-5. Children in year 5 can register for years 3-4-5 or for years 5-6.
QAGTC is a non-profit organisation run by volunteers to benefit gifted children.
Registration is $77 per child per day for QAGTC Members and $99 per child per day for Non- Members.
Some works have a levy payable at the time of registration to cover supply of materials for the workshop which the children will work with and have a product to take home with them.
